Diagnosis
Midlobe of mesoscutum with posterior 1/3 with raised reticulation; scutellum with engraved and weak reticulation; frons golden-green; forewing speculum open below; hind tibial spur long, LS/LT = 0.30; gaster with 1st tergite with posterior ½ with round punctures and covering 0.5X the length of gaster. Similar to striolatus but frons golden-green and first gastral tergite round punctures.

Costa Rica, Guadeloupe.
Biology
From flower of Vernonia albicaulis (Asteraceae) with gall-midges (Diptera: Cecidomyiidae).
